You step through the door and become part of the story. The greeting, the little spell over your food, and a photograph to keep: the appeal is joining in, not simply watching someone in costume serve a drink.

Why do they say “welcome home”?

At @home cafe, the setting is a mansion: guests are Masters and Princesses returning home. First-time visitors receive a Mansion Key card. The language is part of the fictional setting, not a personal relationship with a staff member.

maidreamin uses a different setting, its Land of Dreams. Its official introduction describes choosing a name for that world and receiving a maidreamin Passport on a first visit. The two venues have their own vocabulary; do not expect identical rituals everywhere.

What do I actually do?

Let the host explain the visit, then join a small part of the performance. At @home, ai-kome is the playful spell over food or drinks. At maidreamin, the entertainment includes ketchup art, food spells and stage performances where guests can clap and cheer. You do not have to arrive with a rehearsed performance of your own.

What is a cheki?

A cheki is an instant-photo souvenir. maidreamin describes photos with its maids that may be decorated with drawings; digital photo options also exist. Check your exact plan before assuming a photograph or a song is included. The venue’s direct plans and a booking platform’s packages can have different names and contents.

Why are the uniforms different?

At @home, uniform details distinguish career stages, and premium maids have individual ribbon colors. maidreamin also explains that uniforms change as serving skills progress. The costume can tell part of a host’s professional story, rather than being only decoration.

Can I take my own photos?

Ask first. @home explicitly prohibits unauthorized photos, video and recordings, touching staff, and requesting personal contact details. Use the approved photo service rather than treating a ticket as permission to film the room. These are @home’s published rules; follow the instructions at the venue you choose.
