Hakone is rewarding because the transport is part of the landscape: mountain railway, bus, lake boat, ropeway, cable car. It becomes exhausting when every famous stop is treated as compulsory. Choose Lake Ashi, Hakone Shrine, the cruise, ropeway, Owakudani, and Gora when changing views and transport are the appeal. Leave the museum optional until the loop is running on time.

- 17:00 - return or check in. Overnight guests should stop optimizing and let the ryokan begin.
